Exciting news for the club as we are delighted to appoint a new DOR in Carl Paterson. He will oversee all on the field activities for the mens senior section and support Head Coach Dwaine West who had this to say

"Carl has played at a high level and has worked with the RFU/England Rugby for a number of years so his knowledge of the game will be massively encouraging and hopefully as with all the coaching staff, this will help and speed me along nicely to where I want to be as a coach"

Carl who is no stranger to many across the game in our county is a Level 3 coach and joined the club in January as a consultant after leaving his role as Head Coach at Bradford and Bingley. His initial remit was focusing on what worked well and has identified areas to strengthen on the training and playing field across the whole club.

"When I was offered the opportunity to come and work at Halifax to help Dwaine and Chris on the coaching front it was an exciting opportunity to help them develop as coaches. The club have so much potential from the coaching staff and playing squad to what the club has to offer, I am delighted to hopefully play a part in moving the club forward"

I've known him for over 30 years and his CV is outstanding and this is probably the biggest appointment for a number of years as we look to match the on field performance across all sections of the club with what is happening off it"
